Latest reports now available and website improvements live
Happy new year! As we have just entered 2026 we would like to bring to your attention that last year, new reports on offshore wind conditions over the Dutch North Sea have been published, and besides that, there have been changes and improvements to our website.
Reports
The reports published in 2025 cover measurements until the end of 2024 and provide a multi-year analysis of the wind conditions over the Dutch North Sea. They are available here:
- Offshore wind resources at the North Sea, Results of a long-term measurement campaign, 2024
- Offshore wind resources at the North Sea - Lichteiland Goeree, 2014-2024
- Offshore wind resources at the North Sea - Europlatform, 2016-2024
- Offshore wind resources at the North Sea - Wintershall platform K13-A, 2016-2024
- Offshore wind resources at the North Sea - NAM platform L2-FA-1, 2023-2024
The first report in the list contains an overall analysis of the wind resources across the North Sea measured at our four different measurement locations. Compared to previous years, we have conducted a more thorough analysis, including a correlation study and an evaluation of the spatial variability of the wind conditions across the North Sea. The remaining four reports provide a deeper insight into the wind conditions at the individual measurement locations.
Weekly plots
To give a preview of the available wind data, we have launched a webpage showing weekly plots of the data measured across the four different measurement locations, both individually and combined. The graphs visualize data from one week ago until the past day at midnight and are updated daily. Feel free to have a look via this link: Weekly plots
Data download
To enable a smoother data download procedure, we have updated our data download website. The main difference with the previous implementation is that download inquiries are now processed automatically, omitting work steps and reducing delays. The data download form can be found via this link: Data
